Hi Everyone, I hope each of your wedding seasons have been very profitable. Mine has been ok, seen better, but seen worse.

As you see, we have postponed the retreat/conference for a year. In order to really serve everyone, I would love input on some questions. This will help in our decision for which direction to go. I hope everyone will respond, so here goes.

1 - Would you be willing to come to the retreat/conference? Yes, No, Maybe

2 - What would you prefer, a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday retreat or a Friday, Saturday, Sunday retreat? Give reasons. (majority rules).

3 - We can go to the mountains in Quechee VT, the oceans of Maine or RI or the casino at Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun, what is your delight? (remember to factor cost, ocean tends to be expensive).

4 - Whas is better for people, late summer (August) or early fall (September), we can all agree Spring is out.

5 - What would some topics of interest be or activities? ie. games

6 - Would you want to bring a loved one or another wedding professional or both? (no children)

This retreat/conference will be for all of us, that is why it is important for me to get your input. I want to make sure everyone is happy and I would love to see many come.
Wherever the location is, I will arrange for transportation to visit venues. This may help some of the wedding planners out there who may have a bride with the desire to have a destination wedding, but not sure where to go. I will also arrange for transportation to visit area attractions. Even though this is a conference, it is also a retreat, and we want to have fun.

I look forward to seeing what everyone has to say on this matter. As soon as I receive a lot of responses, we will start working on reservations. Let's get at least 50 of us to come, we'll finally be able to meet face to face and really get to know each other.

1-Would you be willing to come to the retreat? Maybe, if I know well enough ahead of time, and won't book anything for that particular weekend, except for venues that I work with on a regular basis.

2-What would you prefer, Wednesday-Friday, or Friday-Sunday. Friday-Sunday as long as it's local, because I will have cakes to deliver, and wouldn't be able to deliver from VT, ME, or RI.

3-Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun, for same reason as above

4-Either date: makes no difference because both are still busier than spring for me.

5-Topics of interest. Blogging-what is it? Getting recognized on the internet, without spending 100's or 1000's of dollars to companies claiming to get you on google,etc.

6-Don't know on bringing either, and usually other wedding professionals that I know are pretty busy on the weekends, also.

A: Yes, as long as it doesn't conflict with a bride's date.

A: Middle of the week is better and less expensive for me...

A: I'm in Texas, which is ever is less expensive. Just tell when, where, cost.

I say we have a mock bridal shower, but bring things that we would LOVE to have, office supplies, coffee gift certificates, staples gift certifcates, have everyone bring a set dollar amount, then have several games like at a bridal shower, the pin game, the quiz game, scavenger hunt, etc....

I just realized you said no children, so I might not be able to come. We like to take our daugther with us on trips. Here's my input anyway:

1. Yes
2. Friday - Sunday so my husband doesn't have to take vacation
3. mountains or Maine
4. Fall is best - late September thru mid-October
5. miniature golf :-) dinner, anything that helps us get to know one another
6. my husband and my little one who will be 22 months old next September

A: mid week is probably less expensive but Wed-Fri might work also

Gosh, sorry I somehow missed this - Fall would be best, weekend would work for me, anywhere is fine as long as it's easy to get to via a nearby airport, and I'd love to bring sweetie with me.
