Are they still an integral part of an invitation or are they just a waste of paper? Personally I can swing both ways on the subject and I try to be honest with my clients when they ask whether double envelopes are needed. I no longer believe they are an integral part of the invitation and the inner envelope can, at times, be considered a waste of paper. So for the environmentally conscious, and those trying to save money, I point this out.

Of course, inner envelopes have their benefits, too. The outer envelope often gets dirty going through the mail - the inner envelope stays clean and nice looking. Also, even when addressing the outer envelope properly, there is always the misunderstanding with guests as to who is actually invited. The inner envelope allows for naming of guests specifically, thereby stopping any questions by invitees.

So much fun

I just had the best day ever. Me and my family just spent the entire day at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp gala. You should have seen people bidding $30,000 and up for really neat things. Alec Baldwin was there. My son was so excited because he had met him a couple of years ago and Mr. Baldwin remembered him. It was the hightlight of my son's summer. It was such a great time and millions was raised for camp.
